Al Roker is currently in the hospital again due to blood clot complications. Al Roker has been readmitted to the hospital and is now receiving love from his “Today” family.
It was wonderful hosting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade last week, but “we all wish that Al could have been with us,” his colleague Hoda Kotb said on air on Thursday morning.
For the first time in 27 years, the renowned “Today” weatherman was unable to cover the occasion because he was recovering from a blood clot that started in his leg and spread to his lungs. Roker had returned to the hospital, according to Kotb, who added that he was “in very good care,” “due to some complications.”

When Kotb and Craig Melvin Facetimed Roker while they were at the parade, Roker reportedly “gave us a big thumbs up,” according to Kotb.
In a previous post, Roker celebrated being released from the hospital in time to get home for Thanksgiving on his verified Instagram account.
Two family photos were posted with the caption, “So very #thankful to be able to be home for Thanksgiving dinner with family.”
