Elon Musk teases Tesla robot with humanoid heart hands, Elon Musk has hinted that a humanoid robot will be unveiled this week at Tesla’s annual AI Day.

The tech billionaire shared a picture of robotic hands forming a heart shape along with the event’s date on September 30.

The AI-powered humanoid robot, formerly known as the Tesla Optimus bot by Elon Musk, is anticipated to be utilized to replace human workers on the assembly line of the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Future iterations of Tesla’s humanoid robot, according to Mr. Musk, might do a wide range of tasks outside of manufacturing, such as caring for the elderly and serving as domestic helpers.

“Physical labor will essentially be a choice in the future. During the Tesla AI Day in August of last year, Mr. Musk remarked, “If you want to do it, you can, but you won’t need to do it.

Given that labor is the basis of the economy, it has significant economic ramifications.

Even Mr. Musk has expressed his belief that one day Tesla’s robot company would surpass its electric car industry.

Despite the hoopla, several analysts are skeptical that an AI-powered humanoid robot will find much of a market.

Gene Munster, the managing partner at venture capital company Loup Ventures, which owns Tesla stock, stated earlier this month that “investors are not enthusiastic about Optimus.”

It is “infinitely harder than self-driving cars,” he continued, adding that there is “simply such a low probability that it works at scale.”
