Erling Haaland is prepared to follow Cristiano Ronaldo’s example amid suggestions that Man City may go

Erling Haaland is prepared to follow Cristiano Ronaldo’s example amid suggestions that Man City may go. To compete for more prizes across Europe, Erling Haaland’s father has suggested that his son might quit Manchester City in three years, possibly emulating Cristiano Ronaldo.

Following his high-profile transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the 22-year-old has had a fantastic start to life in English football, scoring 18 goals in his first 13 Premier League outings. Haaland has contributed with five more goals in the Champions League as City looks to capture the trophy for the first time.

Alfie Haaland, another City representative, has asserted that his son might depart the Etihad sooner than City supporters would want. Currently, Haaland’s contract has four and a half years remaining.

The 50-year-old confessed to France Football (via DAZN) that his kid may stay until the end of his career, but a move away would not bother him either. The man stated that Erling is quite pleased with City, and we’re talking about a massive club so that he could stay there for 15 years.

“But it seems he wants to prove that he can succeed in any major leagues. He spent 2.5 years in Germany and might do something similar in the future.” he spent three years in the Premier League before moving to France, Italy, or Spain. It’s not a certainty, but it’s possible because Erling can triumph in any situation.

Haaland might go the same road as Ronaldo, who left Manchester United in 2009 to win more prestigious awards in a different nation before signing a world record deal with Real Madrid. The Portuguese superstar played for Old Trafford and won the Premier League three times before heading to Los Blancos on an £80 million contract.

At the Santiago Bernabeu, Ronaldo ultimately won numerous individual and team awards, including four Champions League championships, two La Liga championships, and two Copa del Rey championships. One of the greatest players in Real’s history, Ronaldo scored 450 goals in 438 games while playing for the club.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018 after collecting all the big awards he could stay in Spain. This was the start of his next adventure, which took him to Italy. The 37-year-old enjoyed tremendous success in Turin, winning the Coppa Italia in his final season and another league championship — two of them.

Then, 12 years after leaving United for Real Madrid, Ronaldo’s professional roller coaster saw him switch from Italy to England. His second stint with the Red Devils didn’t exactly go as planned; the forward’s stay with the team ended last month by mutual consent after scoring 27 goals in 54 games.
