FBI probing Rehoboth Delaware Biden home for sensitive documents. Joe Biden’s beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, is being searched by FBI agents on Wednesday as part of an investigation into the previous discovery of classified documents at other locations connected to the president, according to his lawyer. The records were found in different areas related to the president.

The FBI searched the Rehoboth residence for the first time during the prearranged visit and carried it out voluntarily. The search was conducted without a warrant being issued by the agents.

The United States Department of Justice is investigating the finding of classified documents at the residence of former Vice President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, as well as at a private office in a think tank in Washington, D.C., that Biden had used while he was a private citizen.

Bob Bauer, who represents Joe Biden personally, was quoted as saying that attorneys for the president searched both the home in Rehoboth and the residence in Wilmington on January 11.

According to Bauer, the attorneys successfully located classified data in Wilmington but could not do so in Rehoboth.

After Biden’s lawyers discovered classified information for the first time there on November 2, the FBI searched the think tank headquarters in the middle of November. On January 20, agents from the FBI searched Joe Biden’s residence in Wilmington.

Bauer issued the following statement on Wednesday: “Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the Department of Justice is conducting a planned search of his house in Rehoboth, Delaware.”

Bauer claimed that “under DOJ’s customary protocols, it requested to perform this work without advance public notice in the interests of operational security and integrity, and we agreed to assist.”

“The search that took place today is a further step in a comprehensive and fast DOJ process that we will continue to support and aid in every way possible.” When the search that took place today was through, Bauer remarked that we would have additional information to provide.

When asked for comment on the search, White House spokesman Ian Sams pointed CNBC to Bauer’s statement instead of providing his own.

One month ago, Robert Hur was appointed as a special counsel by Attorney General Merrick Garland to lead the inquiry into the Biden documents.

Last year, Garland appointed a second special counsel to investigate the discovery of classified papers and other government documents at the property of former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. The records were found at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club.

FBI officers discovered the documents during a search at Mar-a-Lago on August 9. Agents had gotten a warrant before conducting that search.

On January 16, the attorneys for Vice President Mike Pence, who Donald Trump appointed, alerted the National Archives and Records Administration that they had discovered a “limited quantity” of secret documents at Pence’s residence in Carmel, Indiana. This notification took place two weeks ago.
