The majority of the women who accused Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct have no interest in his return to Houston on Sunday and simply want to move on with their lives, according to their attorney, as nearly all of the more than two dozen lawsuits filed against Watson have been settled.
About ten of the women who accused Watson of sexual harassment and assault while giving massages plan to attend Sunday’s game between the Browns and Texans at Houston’s NRG Stadium to watch him play after serving an 11-game suspension, according to attorney Tony Buzbee.
Several of the women sincerely desire to watch the game “to sort of proclaim, “Hey, we’re still here.” We count. Our message was heard, and this is not yet finished. In the United States, sexual harassment and assault take place every day “said Buzbee.

He said that before the game on Sunday, the women declined to comment. A request for comment sent by The Associated Press via email was also not immediately answered by an NFL spokesperson.
More than 20 women claimed Watson exposed himself, touched them, or kissed them during massage therapy sessions while he was still with the Texans. Watson allegedly forced a woman to engage in oral sex.
25 women who were Buzbee’s clients filed lawsuits. When she was required to amend her claim to include her name in order to move forward, one woman dropped her lawsuit, and 23 other people reached settlements in August. 30 women who had accused the Texans of covering up allegations against their former star quarterback reached a legal settlement with the team in July.
Two Texas grand juries decided not to indict Watson, who was traded to the Browns in March, and who has long denied any wrongdoing.
Watson’s lead attorney, Rusty Hardin, refrained from commenting on his return to Houston due to confidentiality agreements from the resolved lawsuits.
Buzbee’s client, a woman, declined to settle, and he anticipates that the case will go to trial.
