Jet2 Announces Expanded Winter Flights to Canary Islands from Manchester Airport

Jet2 has exciting news for travelers planning winter holidays to the Canary Islands from Manchester Airport. The airline has unveiled its "biggest ever winter sun programme," adding more flights to Lanzarote, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria in response to high demand.

This expansion comes as travelers seek sunny getaways during the colder months. Jet2 and Jet2holidays will increase their capacity by more than 25,000 seats across five UK airports, including Manchester, to the popular Spanish islands renowned for their year-round sunshine.

Additional flights will be available throughout February and March 2025, including the February half-term holidays. The winter 2024/25 season will see a 15% increase in capacity to the Canary Islands, offering over 2.25 million seats from across the UK.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, expressed excitement about meeting the strong demand for winter sun destinations. “The continued appeal of the Canary Islands as a Winter Sun favorite means we are adding even more choice for customers and independent travel agents,” Heapy said.

As the UK's leading airline and tour operator to the Canaries, Jet2 recognizes the islands' popularity among holidaymakers looking to escape the winter chill. The company is committed to providing ample options for travelers seeking winter sunshine.

Jet2’s expanded services are expected to cater to the growing number of travelers looking to enjoy the warm climate and beautiful landscapes of the Canary Islands. The increased capacity underscores the airline’s commitment to offering diverse travel options to popular destinations.
