1000-Lb. Sisters‘ Amy Slaton Welcomes Second Baby: ‘Our Family Is Complete’: It’s baby number two for Amy Slaton!
The 34-year-old star of 1000-Lb. Sisters shared an exclusive announcement with PEOPLE regarding the birth of her second kid, Glenn Allen Halterman, which she had with her husband Michael. The reality star’s son was delivered by cesarean section on July 5, and he weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and measured 17.5 inches when he was first born.
“The long-awaited moment has finally arrived… We are overjoyed to share the news that Michael and I have been blessed with a baby. His name is Glenn Allen Halterman “Amy mentions it to PEOPLE. “The delivery went extremely well, and I am now the proud mother of both of my miraculous babies; our family is complete!”
In addition to her son Glenn, Amy is also the mother of a son named Gage Deon Halterman, who was born to her and Michael in November of 2020.
The upcoming fourth season of the TLC show 1000-Lb. Sisters will provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes peek at Amy’s pregnancy as well as her journey into parenthood, and they will be able to watch it all unfold right before their eyes.
In an earlier season of the reality show, Amy’s pregnancy with her first “miracle” son was followed on camera as she prepared to become a mother for the first time.
During the broadcast, she discussed the range of feelings she experienced when she first saw her son Gage for the first time.
She revealed her innermost thoughts by saying, “Looking at Gage, I just see his whole future basically, as he’s going off to college,” which was part of a confessional.
She continued by saying, “It’s emotional.” “You can’t really talk about [it] because you just love him so much that you don’t have words to convey how much you love him,” she said. “You can’t really talk about [it] because you just love him so much.”
Amy mentioned in a previous episode that she was unable to instantly hold her first son Gage after he was delivered through cesarean section. She was able to do so after some time had passed. “He’s very little,” she observed after looking at him.
As she removed his hat, she said, “I want to see how much hair you’ve got.” “I want to see how much hair you’ve got.” “Oh my God, he has a ridiculous amount of hair, and it’s kind of wavy.”
After then, Amy continued by saying that the moment was “surreal.”
In a confessional, she revealed that the experience of holding Gage for the first time was “surreal.” “My heart just melted. He was such a flawless example. His itty-bitty fingers and toes both.”
She continued by saying, “Yeah, I made this tiny ball of joy,” and she laughed as she did so.
