Fresh leaks have emerged, this time shedding light on the purported design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, courtesy of OnLeaks and SmartPrix. Set to potentially debut in July, the device maintains a semblance of its predecessor, the Z Flip 5, featuring a 6.7-inch inner folding display and a 3.4-inch cover screen.
However, reports suggest a slight increase in thickness from 6.9mm to 7.4mm, sparking speculation about the utilization of the additional internal space. Speculations point towards a potential boost in battery capacity, possibly from 3,700mAh to 4,000mAh, as hinted in a previous GalaxyClub report. This enhancement could address concerns about the Z Flip’s battery performance.
Under the hood, the Z Flip 6 is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and retain the dual-camera setup of its predecessor, both boasting 12-megapixel resolutions. While there were earlier rumors of a 50-megapixel main camera being tested, its inclusion in the final product remains uncertain. Color options are said to include light purple and mint green.
Although specifics regarding AI features remain elusive, it’s anticipated that Samsung’s suite of Galaxy AI capabilities will make an appearance on the new foldable device. Whether these features will introduce novel AI tools or mirror those seen on the Galaxy S24 remains uncertain, adding an element of intrigue to the upcoming release.
