Davido, a Nigerian singer, lost his son in a swimming pool. Nigerian artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, and his fiancée Chioma Rowland lost their only child.

At their residence in Banana Island, Lagos, Davido’s kid, David Adeleke Ifeanyi Jr., reportedly drowned on Monday, October 31.

Emeka Senator, Davido’s foster brother, broke the tragic news on social media by writing, “The revelation was taken for granted. We’re terribly sorry, God. A few days after celebrating his third birthday and receiving lovely notes from his parents, David Ifeanyi Jr. passed away.

“I beseech God to grant you full health and unadulterated joy for as long as it is humanly possible. You’ll improve and surpass me, Birthday greetings

Happy birthday to the love of my life, Chioma wrote on her behalf. God bless you constantly in my honor, my mother loves you so much. I’m extremely thankful to be referred to as your mother since God has been so good to us. In Jesus’ name, amen, may you surpass your parents. I adore you, twin!

When their son perished, Davido and Chioma were not present, and they were only made aware of his condition after he had been brought to the hospital.

It is still unknown how the boy drowned in a home with more than nine caregivers, therefore the boy’s caregivers and domestic staff were called in for interrogation surrounding his death.

According to Nigerian media reports, Davido and Chioma are still in shock and are heartbroken by the situation but have not yet made any public statements.

Following the heartbreaking news, celebrities and politicians have already written cryptic messages to Davido and Chioma on their official social media profiles.

In a message to Davido, Nigerian artist Stonebwoy wished him “divine strength and hope.” Your wins over them will never end, despite the fact that your goliaths seem to never end.
